Ya’ll I am so excited to have this in the Meadows Store. When I first learned about it and the more I studied it, I knew we had to have it! Why? Because it’s an essential tool to have when you most need it for the crud that goes around. One of the worst things to me and maybe for you too, is to have a cough that causes my ribs to hurt so bad and makes me catch my breath from sheer exhaustion of that nagging cough. Do you need Mullein? Just keep reading to learn as much as you can about this little powerhouse gem and why I know you need to grab yours to have on hand.

First of all, she’s a beauty. No doubt, the way she adorns a field with her fuzzy, green-gray rosettes of leaves and tall spikes of yellow flowers that make it easy to identify. The green surfaces of a mullein leaf are obscured by their many hairs. In a mullein flower, the 5 stamens are not all the same. The upper 3 are rather short, straight, and densely bearded with yellow hairs. She’s amazing. I have seeds and plant to get her growing out here on the meadows next spring. I simply can not wait.

This concoction is most used for ear infection relief and could be useful for wound healing.

While the leaves are most often used medicinally for upper respiratory support.

That was UNTIL I came to Mullein leaf.
